Summer Service Spotlight: Mobile Food Drives & Outreach

Summer can be an especially difficult time for families facing food insecurity. With schools out of session and costs rising, local organizations work overtime to meet growing needs. This month, the Pasadena Women’s Club is shining a light on food outreach efforts and how our members can support them.

Current Community Needs:

  • Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) reports an increase in requests for pantry staples and meal kits.
  • Friends In Deed, a local nonprofit, continues to provide food bags through its pantry and deliver meals to seniors and homebound residents.

How You Can Help:
Donate Items: High-protein foods, pasta, canned vegetables, diapers, and toiletries
Volunteer: Sort donations, deliver supplies, or pack care bags
Spread the Word: Share food drive flyers with neighbors and on social media
Host a Mini Drive: Use your porch or garden as a neighborhood drop-off site

Call to Action:
